WWI Trench Art Brass Shell American Eagle Design Signed Shorty
Trench Art was an art form popular during WWI Era and was a past time for soldiers and also used in the Rehab centers. Done by the soldiers and given as gifts, sent home to family members or just done to past the time. This War Time Era art has gained interest over the years and some amazing pieces have come out of collections.

Here is nice smaller piece, a decorated naval shell, dated 12/17 on the bottom.
The top of the shell is cut, flattened out and decorated American Eagle with the base left round. "Shorty" is written on the front of the shell.
Size: 9" Tall 7" wing span on the American Eagle.
