Filter Morbid Curiosity

These items are no longer available for sale, but represent examples of inventory previously sold by Sturgis Antiques.

Morbid Curiosity, named after an interesting magazine that pulled together writing, art and music of the late 1800's and 1900's. The magazine gave what many people of the 80s looked to for inspiration, a path away from mainstream.

In this section I wanted to highlight pieces from mostly one person. I will add some other items from clients just because they fit or would have been part of this persons interest. Most of the items in were collected and put together over time, concentrating on some of the best design, influential artist and artifacts of then underground from the 1960's to late 1980's. Some pieces collected at the time and other with the knowledge that these artists and creative folks had an important stake in the music and art of the 20th century.

Please keep visiting because items will be added as quickly as the person can pull them and get them photographed. I am very happy to offer some choices pieces to you and hope you will enjoy and see the beauty and important these pieces have and have had to the arts and music of the 20th century.
